We are always in the process of planning introduction to visual literacy workshops. These are usually 2 day workshops with an introduction to both collage and video work.

If you are a girl or know a girl who is interested in taking a workshop please let us know. This is a great way to expand your knowledge and awareness as well as to explore if TVbyGIRLS is for you.

Next Step Program

TVbyGIRLS would like to invite girls, 12 – 17, with an interest in media and filmmaking to
apply for a position in our Next Step program.

Next Step is an intensive 16 week workshop for girls who are inspired by the idea of making
creative films to share with people around the world. Only twenty girls will be invited to join
this program.

The girls in Next Step will work together to make films and design a pilot for a broadcast
television series called TVbyGIRLS which will feature exceptional film and video work made
by girls.

The girls in the Next Step workshop will each receive a stipend of $50 at the conclusion of the
workshop. Girls will have the opportunity to work with adult women filmmakers and explore
different topics and styles of media making.

Girls who successfully complete the Next Step workshops will be invited to join
the long term mentoring program with TVbyGIRLS.

Girls do not have to have previous media experience to apply for the workshop.
We are looking for creative, adventurous, curious girls who want to learn
about and make remarkable media to share with the world.

The selected participants will meet Saturdays, February 27th through June 12th.
